WHAT IS BATON TWIRLING
Baton twirling is a combination of athleticism, co-ordination, dance, and movement. It teaches the individual self-esteem, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
The sport of baton twirling is growing in popularity in Canada as it offers the person a chance to develop technique,
self-confidence and grace, and through baton twirling events, develop and foster long lasting friendships.
Purpose of the Club
The Purpose of the Corps is to give the parents and children in our town and the surrounding
areas, another option of a sport that is athletic as well as artistic. This sport
is to develop the child’s motor skills, and build their mental confidence. Baton
twirling is an art-sport and requires great discipline, skill and co-ordination. It
is challenging and fun, as well as, rewarding to the individual who participates.

WHAT
IS INVOLVED?
All twirlers will be required to attend group lessons weekly to learn new routines, twirling
and dance techniques, and to prepare for shows and competitions. All twirlers
are expected to attend parades and competitions.
Individual lessons will also be offered for twirlers
to compete individually in competitions as well.
