WHAT IS BATON TWIRLING

Baton twirling is a combination of athleticism, co-ordination, dance, and movement.  It teaches the individual self-esteem, teamwork, and sportsmanship.  The sport of baton twirling is growing in popularity in Canada as it offers the person a chance to develop technique, self-confidence and grace, and through baton twirling events, develop and foster long lasting friendships.

Purpose of the Club

The Purpose of the Corps is to give the parents and children in our town and the surrounding areas, another option of a sport that is athletic as well as artistic.  This sport is to develop the child’s motor skills, and build their mental confidence.  Baton twirling is an art-sport and requires great discipline, skill and co-ordination.  It is challenging and fun, as well as, rewarding to the individual who participates.
